About our History Society

high street

Our society is a friendly group of residents of Cherry Hinton and beyond sharing an interest in the history of Cherry Hinton and surrounding areas and memories of living here. We have ten meetings a year with a talk given by a guest speaker on historical subjects, often but not always, with a local context. The society also arranges excursions. Please see our current programme below for a flavour of what we do.

We meet here in the Church Centre at 7.30pm on the last Monday of most months. A talk is followed by questions, coffee, lots of chat and a raffle to help the society's funds.

Membership for 2017 costs £10 for single members and £18 for couples. Guest membership for anyone who would just like to attend one talk is £2-50.
